BMW Saubers Nick Heidfeld headed the timesheets on Friday, during the second day of testing in Bahrain. Heidfeld, who clocked a best lap of 1m 30.469s in the F1.07 around the Sakhir circuit, was around eight-tenths of a second quicker than McLaren's Fernando Alonso in second.
<span style="color:#990000">Jenson Button was the third-fastest driver for Honda for the second consecutive day :amuse:, while Alonsos team mate Lewis Hamilton was fourth in the second MP4-22. <span style="color:#336666">BMW Saubers Robert Kubica, meanwhile, in fifth, ended the session almost two seconds slower than Heidfeld :notrust:, just ahead of Ferraris Kimi Raikkonen.
