What it's basically doing is enabling Triple Buffering for D3D , a function that only OpenGL was using previously . So when I enabled my V sync , yes that's right little Timmy , Vsync , that long forgotten function , the picture has become nothing short of awesome !!
I'm also not using my cards AA or AF setting , but instead setting my card to let the application control those , then setting those up in rFactor . In rF config , I use Level 2 AA , and inside rF itself , I have 16X AF .
I haven't tried DX9 yet , but he did say it gave an increase in both DX8 and DX9 , just more in 8 .
To get this running I had to make sure I had DX9c installed , and then grab dotnetfx.exe ( 21 megs ) as well , which is a networking thing , but is required for DX Tweaker to work .
