Did I mention Doug Arnao's "secret" to fast lap times? Doug is a real-world racer and instructor who helped me write the strategy guide. He said the most important part of negotiating each corner is to get on the power sooner rather than later. This may seem obvious (the maxim "in slow, out fast" is well known), but I see a lot of guys on line doing the reciprocal thing: in fast, out slow. Doug's whole approach to setups is to devise ones that allow the car to "accept the power", in his words. Every single practice lap work on putting the hammer down just a fraction earlier than the lap before, and you will see an improvement in your times. -- Steve Smith
With the above you can build the speed down the straight to take your opponent easily, up OFF the corner, not into.
PS.. <span style="color:yellow">Doug is a 3 time SCCA Champ (Real Cars).. I figure he has a clue
HSW:
The physics are perfect. Did anyone help you modelling it or did you do it on your own?

Modelling is linked with the name of <span style="color:yellow">Doug Arnao, who is a former SCCA champion driver. Now he is an instuctor and he is tuning Porsche race cars in the US for a living (his name appeared in simulators like Grand Prix Legends and F1 2001 and 2002).
