ArrayDesde já peço desculpa à Bercar... Embirrei com os carros da equipa. 1º o António Sousa, depois com o Nogueras... Aceito o protesto...[/quote]
I won't make any official complaint, Alexandre, certainly, you hit me from behind while braking for turn 9. I braked early, but not earlier than the lap before. I think you were really nervous trying to overtake me, because you were faster, but overtaking is not so easy in Melbourne. Well, If you know you made it wrong, I just have to say "desculpas aceitadas". But please next time don't be so nervous. It was lap 10 or 11, I think, and there was a lot of race remaining...
Well, first of all, I made a shit qualifying. That 1:31:999 was a safe lap, and I spun while braking for turn 9 in my 2nd qualy lap. I think it would have been 1.5 secs faster than the first one, so I could have qualified around 12-14th place instead of 18th... not a big difference, I think.
The start went really well and I had no lag with so many cars on screen (installed Xico's pack, guys?). I think I was 11th at T1. I was collecting positions from accidents in front of me and I was 8th in lap 5. At that time, I was driving carefully, specially because I felt it was quite easy to spin while braking for certain turns. My first mistake was when Xico overtook me. It was while braking for T9, and I wanted to make sure I made room for him. I made so much room that I went out of track... :biggrinbandit:a few laps after that, there was the incident with Alexandre. It broke my front wing and I went into pits to repair and refuel 5 or 6 laps earlier than expected... probably, my concentration was also broken because I drove 10 horrible laps from that moment. I made several mistakes while accelerating and braking and I had to went into pits 2 more times to change front wing. Concentration seemed to get back at lap 25 approx. and as I realized I wasn't going to make into the points, I decided to take the race as a test... and I learnt a lot, first about the tyre limits and secondly, about driving these cars in a real race. I had trained with heavy fuel loads before, but it's not the same... I drove 30 consistent laps, and climbed to 10th place due to problems from the cars in front of me. So, I 'm more or less happy in the end... now the objective is to get into the points...
