I can explain a little bit on this. If a tyre is over-inflated, It will never reach its optimum working temperature. If it's under-inflated, it will overheat...
Apart from that, one of the basic principles of rfactor setup is that you have to adjust pressures and cambers of the wheels so that the whole surface of the tyre is in contact with the track. An over-inflated tyre becomes round like a football ball and only the center is touching the track...
If you search some information on the Internet, you'll find the information given by rfactor is very short to make decisions and you have to use some external telemetry software...
