Hello,
This is my first experience as a GPL track editor. I designed a circuit in a piece of paper and made it, step by step. It isn´t very pretty as other circuits, and probably many of you won´t like the circuit, because of the layout. However, I think it would be unfair to do this and keep it for myself. I don´t know if I could classify it as a final version or beta, but I classify as a final because I don´t plan to work on it anymore. The track has very few 3DO, and might look ugly to some people. I advise you play it on Direct3D, and on a fast machine. The truth is, I ain´t got no more the time and patience to keep doing this track...
Now, here is the track readme:
Toniring - A Fantasy Track for GPL
V1.00
Made by Toni Mau
24/8/67 (fantasy)
Country: Fantasy
This is my first track for GPL. So, you might expect it to have some problems. I don´t classify it as a Beta, because I don´t think I´m gonna do something about this track. It´s driveable and it works, I hope it´s the final version anyway.
The first is that this track was only tested in one PC,
a 2.66Ghz PentiumIV with 1GB of RAM and a Nvidia FX5600 graphics card. You might have some
serious FPS problems if your PC is worse than this, because there are some hi resolution graphics on this track. If you have a similar or best PC, you should have no problems.
This track was tested in Direct3D. It was designed to work that way. It also works, altough I didn´t test it very much, in OpenGL. I think it doesn´t work on any other mode.
Now, let´s go to the credit zone!
Asphalt: Robert Zeugin, modified by Toni Mau to fit the track
Grass: Toni Mau
Stonewall: GPL Repository
Shrub: GPL Repository
3DO Objects, 3DO Objects Textures: Toni Mau, Scott (GPL Repository)
Wood Fence: GPL Repository
Wall Ads: Mctshirt/GPL Repository
Hedge: GPL Repository
Horizon: "Hilly Generic Horizon", from the GPL Repository
Wire Fence: GPL Repository
Gravel: Toni Mau
Treerows, Armco, Flaggers: Taken from Brands Hatch 1967, thanks to the authors!
Everything else... was made by me.
AI:
The AI in this track was made by me, and I must warn you the AI is stupid. They make pole positions at around 2.15/2.16, but most of the cars make weird trajectories and crashes.
However, the AI seems to work enough to have a race or two ;-). If you think they are too fast, you can reduce their speed in the track.ini file.
Known Bugs:
- In the I Feel Dizzy Esses, there is a corner in which if you drive close to the wall, you´ll get a CTD. Altitude stuff, nothing I can do about it. The section is surrounded by Armcos, probably you will never have a CTD here... but you are warned.
- The AI behaves in weird ways sometimes. However, it works.
- NO GOOD TRACK CAMERAS! If any Camera Guru would like to do them, please do so, I thank you.
Thanks to everyone who made track editing possible. I couldn´t have done this without them!
Any bugs, post here. This track had almost NO beta-testing... So, some problems might occur. Let´s expect that doesn´t happen! This track wasn´t tested online, so I don´t know what might happen
Remember, this wasn´t meant to be a REAL track making experience, to release to the public. However, I decided to release it... I gained much experience in track making, who knows... for things to come!
Well, you can download it here:

Enjoy! I´m going on vacation to do so!
P.S. Desculpem, não me apeteceu traduzir, espero que percebam tudo... Simplesmente foi uma coisa que comecei e não me apeteceu levar à perfeição, portanto lanço isto como está, funciona e é isso que é preciso :bye:
