The nr 9 Vitaphone Maserati MC 12 continued to lead the Proximus 24 Hours of Spa, with Michael Bartels setting the fastest time with a time of 2:14.845, better than the 2004 pole. "This provisional pole position is very important for the team; it is the culmination of weeks of hard work." Provisional second place on the grid was the nr 15 JMB Maserati, with the nr 29 Aston Martin third and the nr 6 GLPK Corvette fourth.
